Teaching Assistant

Bridge Education are looking for a passionate KS1 Teaching Assistant for a school based in Blackburn.

The successful applicant must have experience of working with pupils with SEMH on a 1:1 basis and be able to demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills.

The successful candidate must:

  • Be a calm and consistent person who is caring and nurturing.
  • Be a firm but fair person who uses lots of positive praise.
  • Have experience of working with children who have SEMH.
  • Be willing to complete general TA duties for part of the school day.
  • Be able to use own initiative in order to support a child as well as work well in a team.

You will be working within a KS1 class, supporting the class Teacher for part of the day and supporting a child on a 1-1 basis for the other part of the day. This will be a Dual role that you will complete alongside another Teaching Assistant.

This is a full time role, which will start after half term at the beginning of November and will initially continue until March. This role could continue depending on funding and the right candidate.
