About the school:

This is a lovely two-form entry Church of England primary school, located in the heart of Hackney and led by a very good Headteacher, with a dedicated senior leadership team. There is a lovely atmosphere around the school, with a busy, creative environment. The school likes to invest in their staff and you will receive regular training to assist your development. This will be a lovely opportunity to join a great school and become part of a close team.

The Role:

The school is seeking two full time, term-time teaching assistants to start in September for the duration of the academic year 2019/20. You will likely be working in upper key stage 2, working with year 5 and 6. You will be working closely with a class teacher, helping in a number of ways; supporting small groups with their work and especially intervention work with children who require extra help with English and Maths. You may be working as a whole class TA, preparing lessons and activities etc so there will be plenty of variety within the role.


The school wishes to appoint experienced teaching assistants, who are adaptable, engaging, proactive and passionate about working with children. Outstanding graduates are very welcome, who may be considering teaching as a career and they have assisted staff members with teacher training in the past. You will need to have at least 6 months experience in a primary school as a teaching assistant to be considered for these opportunities.

A team approach is key, as you will be an essential member of the school community and working closely with your class teacher. Due to the variety of the role, you will need to have a flexible approach and a good sense of humour is essential!

The school has asked for candidates to be fluent in English.
