This long term position is perfect for a Psychology graduate or experienced ASD Teaching Assistant, looking to develop their career in Clinical or Educational Psychology. The ideal Teaching Assistant must have a strong interest in ASD and the associated behaviours within a school environment.

The provision is part of a successful Primary school which supports up to 12 ASD pupils at a time. You will also be expected to provide vital support in therapy sessions, which help learners to increase their confidence, self-esteem and independence. The ASD outreach will be there to advise and support anyone the school appoints

The ideal Teaching Assistant will have experience of providing support to pupils within an SEN environment and be willing to develop their skills to the schools high standards of Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

In this Teaching Assistant role you will be working alongside highly experienced teachers, who provide excellent support in this challenging and stimulating environment. The unit is led by an Outstanding SENCO who understands the benefit of having conscientious and educated staff that support the pupils well.
