The school caters for children in KS3 & 4 with SEMH and challenging behaviour. The school looks to support both the academic and social, emotional and life skills helping the students to plan for and work towards a future that includes a plan for continual learning and development. The curriculum supports these aims and equips students to communicate with respect and skill. As such the school is looking for dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistants that want to have a positive effect on pupil development and outcome
Although initially offered on a long term supply basis, this role has the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidates
Your day to day duties will include:
· Working with and supporting children with SEMH and challenging behaviour
· Assisting teachers with the maintenance of student records
· Assisting students with their educational and social development on a 1:1 and small group basis
· Adapting your approach depending on the students needs
