Your new role
There are many roles for teachers and teaching assistants looking to gain valuable experience in a challenging but rewarding sector of education. You will be working within; Special Needs School Pupil Referral Unit EBSD/SEMH School Alternative Provision
What you'll need to succeed
To have worked one to one and led groups with children with special needs such as PMLD, ASD and speech and language difficulties.
Experience working with children with challenging behaviour
Excellent communication skills, the ability to use initiative and work well under pressure.
Be able to differentiate work to support needs of children
Experience in personal care such as feeding and changing.
Experience in manual handling hoisting
PECS and Makaton experience is desirable
If you have a Team Teach qualification this is an additional benefit but this not essential and training can be provided.
