Noted in their latest Ofsted report ‘pupils receive high-quality teaching in most lessons which accelerates their progress, A well-skilled team closely monitors pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities and teachers who plan to meet those pupils’ needs, pupils’ progress is tracked closely and the inclusion canter is well equipped to support pupils’ pastoral needs, Pupils have opportunities to read during the school day and are encouraged to borrow books from the library, Library rentals are monitored closely so that pupils are guided in their choices, Pupils who require additional support with their reading make strong progress and read confidently, Inspectors noted that the whole-school policy for literacy was well embedded across the curriculum, They also found this to be the case with the schools’ numeracy strategy.
To be successful in your application the ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, experience and qualities;
• Degree (Desired not essential)
• Experience of working with children
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Positive can do attitude
• Ability to engage with and inspire young people
• Excellent organisational skills
Your daily duties for this role with consist of the following;
• Helping to ensure good learning takes place in every lesson
• Helping to maintain discipline across the entire school
• Being a positive role model for all students at all times
• Supporting the class teacher in all aspects as instructed
• Highlighting students who may be struggling to class teacher
• Collecting supplies for the classroom teacher
