CER Education is looking for a Teaching assistant of SEN in the local Durham area who is ready to hit the ground running. The role will require you to work with children who have moderate to severe learning difficulties but who are also challenging behaviourally. The children you will be working with may also have PMLD. To be successful in this role you will need to be caring and empathetic. Additional training such as Manual Handling and/or Team-Teach would be a bonus but is not essential.
The school you will be working in will have the most up to date facilities to accommodate the children's needs. The school promotes personal development so there will be opportunities to learn and develop as a support assistant. The school will also have access to state of the art sensory facilities such as rebound therapy and hydro-pools.
The role requires you to have a clean driving license.
The role is initially temporary and is to replace a permanent leaver and therefore has the potential to turn into a permanent position
