The Education Network are looking for an experience Teaching Assistant to work with one of our brilliant Pupil Referral Units in Tipton. Are you a dynamic TA who has a track record of engaging with young people who have faced barriers to learning? Working on a 1-2-1 and small group basis with secondary ages students, you will be ensuring that they are engaging in lessons and making the requisite academic progress. Behaviour management is key as you will be supporting the class teacher in managing the classroom. This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who is looking to make a difference to the lives of young people. This role is an easy commute from Dudley, Tipton, Oldbury, Halesowen, Walsall and Birmingham

Ideally you will be:

-          A TA or Learning Mentor used to working with children and young adults with barriers to learning

-          A confident classroom practitioner able to support lessons in a creative and inspiring manner

-          Used to finding creative solutions to challenging behaviour

-          Encouraging participation in lessons

-          Happy to work on a 1-2-1 or small group basis

-          Able to provide support to teaching staff across core subjects

-          A friendly, professional  and dedicated Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor

-          Able to provide recent, relevant education references
