Are you an inspiring and proactive Teaching Assistant who is looking to work in a challenging and dynamic environment? This Ofsted “Good” PRU are looking for a Secondary Teaching Assistant to provide classroom based support to students who have faced barriers to learning. You will be working in small groups supporting the class teacher. With an emphasis on providing academic support and managing behaviour. If you are a positive Teaching Assistant who is able to engage with students and help make learning more interesting, then this might be the role for you. This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant looking to join a proactive and supportive team.

Ideally you will be:-

-          A TA or Learning Mentor used to working with children and young adults with barriers to learning

-          A confident classroom practitioner able to support lessons in a creative and inspiring manner

-          Used to finding creative solutions to challenging behaviour

-          Encouraging participation in lessons

-          Happy to work on a 1-2-1 or small group basis

-          Able to provide support to teaching staff across core subjects

-          A friendly, professional  and dedicated Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor

-          Able to provide recent, relevant education references
