The Teaching Assistant - Witney role:
- Assist classroom activities - Work in partnership with teachers to plan and perform dynamic lessons to pupils, implementing inclusive and creative strategies. 1 to 1 support may be required.
- Excellent support team - opportunities for progression, essential for aspiring Early Careers.
- Supporting and nurturing the environment for the Witney based students to absorb a solid foundation of their education. Previous understanding of the national KS1 & KS2 curriculum is not essential, ability to adapt to new content is key.
- Awareness of child safe-guarding and ability to highlight concerns to senior teaching staff.
- Promote holistic student growth, contribute to creating a safe cohesive classroom.
Key skills/requirements:
- Level 2/3 childcare (desired)
- Enhanced DBS - currently holding a valid on the update service or be willing to undergo the process.
- Pro-active demeanour, energetic, enthusiastic and caring approach to supporting the OX28 based students.
- Support on a 1-2-1 basis with a pupil with ASD/Autism or another with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs (SEMH).
- A strong background in Maths and English is ideal for this role and the Primary school are ideally looking for someone with previous experience with SEN.
Teaching Assistant - Witney: Suitable for recent school leavers, University graduates, Pre-PGCE qualified students and experienced Teaching Assistants.
