Teach in Qualified (TiQ) - Salaried Initial Teacher Training - placements available in Dartford for April 2018 Start
A high-achieving and welcoming primary school in Dartford are looking for a graduate with some experience as a Teaching Assistant to start working towards QTS at their in April 2018 on the TiQ Initial Teacher Training Programme. The programme involves working full time in the placement school, starting as a Teaching Assistant and, through training and a gradual increase in responsibilities, moving away from the role of a Teaching Assistant and transitioning into a Teacher, taking on increasing amounts of independent teaching.
Starting as a Teaching Assistant will allow you time to find your feet in the school before moving onto taking on teaching responsibilities. Even whilst working as a Teaching Assistant, you will receive support and training from both the school and your own, external tutor.
Unlike some other routes to gaining Qualified Teacher Status, the TiQ Programme doesn't involve lots of deadlines and essays, just taking on an increasing amount of responsibilities and keeping a record of your work as a Teaching Assistant and Teacher.
- 2:2 or higher honours degree
- Cs or above in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths, English & Science
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, mentor or tutor
