TiQ - Salaried Initial Teacher Training- April 2018 start- Placement school available in Bexely.
Teach in Qualified (TiQ) is a 6 phase initial teacher training programme which takes graduates from Teaching Assistant to Qualified Teacher Status through a course of the gradual increase in responsibilities and a series of training days alongside a cohort of graduates also on our Teaching Assistant to QTS programme.
Starting as a Teaching Assistant will allow you to find your feet in this successful, welcoming primary school in Bexley before taking on additional responsibilities. The school have a track record of supporting budding educators (Teaching Assistant's and Teachers) through the early parts of their career whilst offering progression further down the line. You will be assigned an external tutor and an in-school mentor to support you through the 6 phase programme, with regular Theory sessions to cover the relevant pedagogical knowledge required to underpin your practical experience, from your first phase as a Teaching assistant up until you gain Qualified Teacher Status.
In order to be eligible to start on the TiQ Programme and start your journey from Teaching Assistant to QTS, you must:
- Hold an honours degree
- Have Cs or above in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths, English & Science
- Have previously worked as a Teaching Assistant
