Teaching assistant - Rochdale Secondary School

Are you a passionate graduate looking for a role in the Education sector to build your experience before starting a teacher training course in September 2018? Maybe you are a TA looking for a new role in a different environment?

A secondary school just outside Manchester town centre are looking to add a teaching assistant to their school with immediate effect. With a special focus on intervention, the incoming teaching assistant will be a recent graduate or a general TA qualified specialist looking to secure a career in teaching/teaching assistant. You will be working as a general teaching assistant throughout the core subject departments but take on responsibilities for under achieving pupils working with them on a 1:1 basis to raise individual attainment. You will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about teaching and supporting children's development.

To be considered for this secondary teaching assistant role, you will need to be/have:

*A recent graduate with a strong academic background
*A qualified level of TA, level 1-3
*Passionate about a career in secondary education
*Experience working with pupils or in Schools as a tutor or classroom assistant
*Key stage 3 and 4 experience ideally but no essential

Located just outside the centre of Manchester, this is a friendly and welcoming secondary school which can provide additional support and experience before applying for a PGCE in 2018 if required. The perfect candidate for this teaching assistant role will be passionate about children's development and have a degree in Maths, English, Psychology or similar subject.
