Person specification - Physics Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a Physics Graduate who has a 2:2 or above degree and a real passion for education. You must be enthusiastic about your subject area and ideally considering a career as a teacher. If you have previous experience of working with children, this would be advantageous.

This role will varied and your duties will differ day to day. The majority of the role includes working with GCSE pupils in science. You will be supporting KS3 and KS4 students within the Physics curriculum, gaining excellent experience prior to a teacher training course next year. After a period of training you will be required to deliver 1:1 and small group intervention sessions.

You supporting the class teacher over an array of topics, helping students grasp theories and gain a better understanding of learning objectives in science. Throughout your time at the school you will find yourself work within the classroom and in smaller groups, aiding students who may need additional support in certain areas of science topics.
