Teaching Assistant- Autism Resource Base - South East London

An ‘Outstanding’ primary school in South East London is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support in their Autism Resource Base this academic year.

This role will be suitable for an ASD experienced graduate who has a strong understanding of the effective strategies and approaches used to support ASD pupils within a learning environment.

***£75.00-£80.00 per day for Teaching Assistant
***Applicants should be Graduates with ASD Experience

Person Specification
•    Graduate with experience supporting children with Autism (ASD)
•    Excellent communication skills and enthusiastic about the development of SEN pupils
•    Understanding of the challenges ASD pupils face and how to overcome these
•    Able to maintain clear expectations whilst using positive reinforcement

About the Role
•    Teaching Assistant in the school’s Autism Resource Base
•    Using resources, motivation and behaviour strategies to develop a system of learning
•    Working to encourage positive social interaction
•    Liaising with parents, Teachers, SENCO and other relevant professionals
•    CPD and training for Teaching Assistant
