Our client is a College that educates young people aged 11 to 19 who have challenging and complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH) or medical needs.
The College includes a KS3 and KS4 Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) which provides a range of high-quality educational programmes helping to make positive changes in the lives of young people and ensuring the best possible educational outcomes. As well as a SEMH special school, there is also provision for pupils aged 11-16 who have complex needs and are medically vulnerable. These are called Apollo (KS4) and Adelphi (KS3).
About the Specialist Teacher role:
They are looking to develop its KS3 provision for young people with complex needs who may also be medically vulnerable. They are looking for an outstanding practitioner who is able to teach a range of subjects to pupils with varying abilities at KS3 and support the hospital schoolroom when needed.
They would welcome applications from teachers with QTS who are experienced in meeting the needs of pupils with complex needs.
Applicants should have experience of teaching across a range of subjects and a desire to have a positive impact on the lives of their young people.
Strong primary school practitioners will also be considered.
