The candidate we are seeking is a qualified teacher who is creative and passionate about delivering the best opportunities and life chances to young people.
Our teaching takes place in small class groups with Teaching Assistant support.
The successful candidate will be required to take on an area of responsibility depending on their strengths.
You will have:
Experienced in teaching young people with a diagnosis of autism and / or SEN.
Evidence of good and outstanding teaching & learning
Able to plan and deliver an enriching structured learning environment.
Knowledge of the National Curriculum and the impact on pupils with autism
Ability to lead and drive forward an area of the curriculum in a Primary Education model (or be willing to work in a Primary Education model)
Passion for working with pupils with challenging behaviour and a belief that we can find a way to include every young person in education.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to lead by example
Be excited by and enthusiastic about curriculum innovations and SEN teaching and learning approaches
Committed to working within a culture of continual learning.
Empathetic, enthusiastic and energetic.
Able to lead a team of teaching assistants to deliver the best opportunities to the young people.
