Hays Education are working with Secondary Schools in Plymouth and the surrounding areas that are seeking Religious Education teachers for potential long term assignments from September 2018 or sooner. Hays Education in Plymouth offer a variety of opportunities for Qualified Teachers and NQT's locally and nationally to suit your requirements. We can offer ad-hoc / part-time day to day work to promote a healthy work-life balance and/or we can place you in a full time Secondary School job to further your teaching career.
Your new role
You will be responsible for teaching Religious Education on a long term basis across KS3 and KS4 with the possibility of KS5 dependent on experience and subject knowledge. You will hold the responsibility of planning and delivering exceptional lesson plans that will engage and enthuse pupils on a daily basis, and you will continually assess the pupils' Religious Education work to raise attainment. You could be working in a range of Secondary Schools on various short and long term assignments in the local area. Supply teaching for Religious Education and General Cover will also be available for those who want a flexible work-life balance, where you can work from one up to five days a week.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you will be a Qualified Teacher or NQT with QTS or equivalent who specialises in Religious Education or has the ability to teach this as a strong secondary subject, and be able to demonstrate excellent subject knowledge of the up to date curriculum. You will demonstrate the ability to teach Religious Education up to at least KS4, along with the capability to teach pupils with a range of needs and abilities. You will be devoted to raising the attainment of students, and demonstrate good behaviour management and facilitation of the classroom.
