Teacher of Physics
Salary Scale: £140-200 per day depending on experience and scale
Start Date: September or July 2018
GSL Education are currently seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher of Physics who can teach Physics up to A-level. It is a permanent role commencing in September or July 2018.
The role is at a flourishing, high performing 11-18 state school, which was graded 'Outstanding' in October 2016. It is regularly one of the top schools, in the country, in terms of student progress in Science. The school has onsite car parking and is in close proximity to London Overground and underground stations.
In 2017 100% of students taking Physics GCSE gained A*- C grades with 95% A*- B and 70% A*- A.
The school is re-introducing Physics A-level in response to the level of demand from students. Physics will run alongside the existing complement of academic A-level subjects in their outstanding Sixth Form.

The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified teacher of Physics (ideally PGCE, GTP, B'ed, Cert Ed, BA with QTS).
- Demonstrate recent experience as a Physics teacher.
- Be proven to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high.
- Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies.
