Teacher of P.E.

Are you an energetic and vibrant teacher of P.E. who will be available after February half term? Are you enthusiastic and passionate about teaching? Are you available on a full time basis? An excellent secondary school situated in the Wigan area has asked us to source an outstanding Teacher of P.E. to work at their establishment after February half term.

The school is a mixed secondary within the area which is responsible for the provision of education to pupils between the ages of 11 and `16. The curriculum offered by the school is varied, ensuring every pupil that they have the opportunity to learn and the foundation to develop. Feedback by staff who attend the school on a supply basis have commented on the positive behaviour, the cooperation offered by the other members of staff and the positive ambiance that the school has. If you want to teach in a place where you feel valued, where there is support, then look no further!

The position will commence on the 26th February and will be full time , Monday to Friday (08.20 - 15.00). The rate of pay will be dependant on your experience, scale and ability ranging from £100 to £150 per day. AWR may apply depending on duration.

If you would like to be considered for the role it is important that you meet the following criteria:

  • You possess QTS or the educational equivalent
  • You have the ability to teach PE up to and including KS4
  • You have excellent classroom management skills and have a fair but firm approach when dealing with discipline issues
  • You have sound knowledge of the current curriculum
  • You possess a current DBS, however, we can process one for you
