Established and welcoming team

Do you believe that some of your best traits are compassion, empathy and friendliness? Would you say that you're the type of person who likes to make people smile? Would you like to work in a job that adds real value to people’s lives and at the same time offers you an actual career and job security? If this is how you see yourself, and these are the things you're looking for, then this is the right job opportunity for you.

At CareTech, we pride ourselves on our friendly, innovative, person-centred, empowering and positive values that we reflect as a company. We are seeking candidates who share the same passion for the values as we do, offering a career where you can develop these attributes further. Does this sound like you?

Would you love the opportunity to make a real difference to our Young People’s lives? Then we need your support!

We are looking for an experienced Humanities teacher to work in our established Independent School. We require an experienced and creative teacher who is passionate about teaching.

We specialise with Looked After Children who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school and as such many of the pupils have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD).

This school offers academic and vocational avenues to their students with the aim of integration, and as such, an experienced teacher who has worked in a similar setting would be extremely useful. As part of this role you would also be expected to liaise closely with care and therapy.

This role requires a firm but fair role model who can demonstrate a commitment to using active learning approaches and development of independent learning skills. The ideal candidate will offer pastoral support and be able to clearly focus on the individual needs of our learners and respond positively to change. You will liaise effectively with colleagues and external agencies, maintaining exceptional professional standards at all times.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering outstanding lessons in which all learners are included, engaged and make good progress. Your experience will demonstrate a commitment to using active learning approaches and development of independent learning skills.

Due to the nature of the role, we will pay for you to complete an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, prior to starting with us. CareTech is an equal opportunities employer and will invite disabled applicants to contact us to identify any additional support that they may require throughout the recruitment process.

Due to the volume of applications, if you do not receive an invitation to interview within 14 working days, then consider your application unsuccessful on this occasion
