Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a school in Bacup (near Rawtenstall) to recruit an English Teacher to join their department from Easter through until the end of the year. The school requires a Teacher Full time to deliver English up to GCSE level. The position has become available due to the expansion of the English department. The position starts from 9th April 2018 and will run on a temporary basis until the end of the academic year. Should the English Teacher get on well in school the Head Teacher is likely to make a permanent position available in the new academic year.
The school is a smaller than average school with approximately 500 pupils on roll. The school is supportive regarding the induction of new staff and are preferably seeking a candidate who has experience working in challenging schools, candidates should be confident dealing with challenging behaviour.
NQT's and experienced English teachers would be considered for the role. The school is looking for a candidate with a good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum who would be confident planning and teaching lessons to a variety of pupil abilities and backgrounds. The timetable is currently split between KS4 intervention and full class teaching and so experience delivering intervention and evidence of raising attainment would be preferred!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
