PART - TIME - 3 days per week

CER are supporting a Specialist school supporting learning to those students with hearing impairment, autism, learning disabilities and other communication needs.

We are specifically seeking those teachers who:

  • Can teach English in the college area to include GCSE and Functional Skills
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum
  • Will be expected to teach English throughout the College including GCSE and Functional Skills
  • Be able to offer a patient and caring personality but with fantastic communication skills

You must hold a BSL qualification - minimum Level 1 - with further view to extend to Level 3 with training given in post.

The ideal candidate would be either working towards or hold a Teacher of the Deaf qualification and have knowledge of Special Educational Needs. They will be committed to the development of language and literacy. Experience of teaching English to GCSE level and lower level maths would be an advantage.
