VNA Education is working in partnership with an excellent secondary school in Newham to appoint a skilled and passionate Teacher of Design & Technology on an ongoing basis.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a DT specialist to join a well-resourced department within a school known for strong leadership, high expectations and positive student culture.

The Role

• Deliver high-quality DT teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
• Teach within a structured, well-sequenced curriculum
• Inspire creativity, problem-solving and technical excellence
• Contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking department
• Use assessment to drive progress and high-quality outcomes
• Support students to develop practical, transferable and design skills

The candidate

• Qualified Design & Technology teacher (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge (Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics or similar)
• Confident classroom practitioner with high expectations of behaviour and achievement
• Passionate about inclusive, engaging and practical learning
• Reflective and committed to professional development
• Clear commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
