Tax Senior

Catalyst is currently working with a large, highly respected, independent chartered accountancy practice seeking an ambitious qualified, Tax Senior to join its team with the clear aim to progress to owner/partnership. With definite succession opportunities, this is an excellent time to join this prestigious, North East, firm.

Reporting to an experienced Tax Partner and responsible for corporate and personal compliance and advisory work, you will:

• Manage a personal and corporate tax portfolio
• Conduct tax planning including group relief and loss claims
• Provide guidance on indirect taxation issues such as VAT
• Responding to clients' and HMRC correspondence
• Assisting with HMRC enquiries
• Dealing with ad-hoc queries from clients and partners such as in relation to international trade
• Preparation of provisions for inclusion in financial statements

You will need:

• A track record of success, progression and, ideally, leadership in an practice based tax role
• Relevant professional qualifications, such as CTA, ACA or ATT
• Working/applied evidence of technical expertise and/or continuing professional education
• A positive, highly committed, service-oriented and politically-aware approach, underpinned by high integrity, sensitivity, adaptability and first class communication skills
• The ability to build excellent working relationships
