Tax Assistant

We are looking for a tax assistant with personal tax experience to join our Professionals & Private Client team in our London office.

Role

To provide professional support to the whole of the private client department; to manage the taxation relationship services for a portfolio of clients, helping them to comply with their taxation filing and payment obligations and working with them to manage their taxation affairs.

Your portfolio of clients will be interesting and varied, covering a range of clients:

  • partners in professional firms

  • entrepreneurial clients

  • high net worth individuals

  • non UK resident clients

  • non UK domiciled clients

  • partnerships.

You will prepare tax returns and deal with the annual compliance work for the individual clients on your portfolio and will deal with tax return, tax computations and tax reserves for partnerships.

You will be supporting others in the team as necessary and producing timely work of a high quality focusing on accuracy and efficiency.

You will work with other team members and report to managers and partners within the team.

As you progress and gain knowledge there will be the ability to identify opportunities and assist managers and partners with advisory work.

Qualifications

Support and study leave for the Association of Taxation Technicians and the Chartered Tax Advisor qualifications.

  • numerate and confident with numbers

  • be able to communicate confidently and have good verbal and written skills

  • be able to meet the minimum BBB (or equivalent UCAS points) A level requirement with GCSE grade B or above in English Language and Maths.
