You'll have a passion for all things retail and be an expert in identifying, attracting and engaging top talent using a variety of tools and techniques. Retail is your bread and butter – but you’re not afraid (you even relish) the chance to recruit in other departments including Customer services and Logistics. You might be an internal recruiter ready for a more exciting and challenging environment, or even an agency recruiter that loves sourcing but your heart isn’t into business development.
It doesn’t matter – as long as you have bags of enthusiasm and energy.
What your job will look like:
When it comes to sourcing and screening, you’ll be a hunter, not a gatherer. You’ll have the skills and drive to source high quality candidates for roles across the UK using a variety of tools and techniques. Your goal: To quickly deliver a “right first time” shortlist that delights your hiring managers.
Pipelining can be tough; especially in the world of retail constantly evolving, but where we have business critical or hard to fill roles, it is an essential tool for you to always have one eye on the future needs of the business.
Attraction - You’re an employer branding geek, with a gift for writing engaging on-brand copy, and a good creative eye. You live and breathe social media, and you know how to create great content and deploy it for maximum effect. You sigh at the thought of “Copy and paste”
Sourcing - You speak fluent Boolean. Your LI Recruiter account is an old friend, but you know that it’s just the tip of the sourcing iceberg. You’re always exploring and experimenting with new sourcing techniques, and honing your skills to find great candidates. It helps that we have a good network in the retail industry.
Candidate Experience - Some recruiters talk the talk. But they don’t always walk the walk. Not you. You are a candidate experience champion, and it informs everything you do.
Diversity - It’s in your bones. A focus that isn’t just about fairness, but a genuine belief that greater diversity makes us all better.
Business partnering - You know how to get tricky leaders on board. You embed yourself in their world and make things happen. You’re a trusted advisor and your opinion is heard and respected. You challenge and ruffle feathers sometimes, but you do it with charm and good humour.
