We deliver best in class business transformation programmes to across the Public Sector with a target to release one billion pounds of savings to the public.

We have established an enviable track record in the design and delivery of large-scale innovative HR, Payroll, IT, and Finance & Accounting solutions to significantly improve efficiencies and enhance service levels across Government and Public Sector.

Our clients include a number of government agencies including the Department for Work and Pensions, Environment Agency Department for Education, Ministry of Justice and Home Office as well as the Metropolitan Police Service and the Construction Industry Training Board.

The Day Job:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and credible recruitment professional to join our team in Newport at SSCL You will be a dedicated resourcing partner supporting our numerous and rapidly growing UK Government client base. You will build capabilities with key stakeholders and provide support and advice on their recruitment activities including pre-employment processes. You will be joining the team at an exciting time of growth and will have the opportunity to shape and deliver a growing professional recruitment service.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with hiring managers and Resourcing/HR teams, working in partnership to understand current talent needs and lead the end-to-end talent acquisition process.
  • Screen, interview and assess candidates, provide qualified shortlists and candidate insights for hiring managers
  • Manage the selection, presentation, negotiation, offer, closing and administrative aspects involved in full lifecycle recruiting as well as building and enhancing civil service/public sector assessment criterions
  • Provide, interpret and analyse management information to identify and resolve service blockers across the agreed recruitment solution/service
  • Develop and enhance relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure we are recognised as a trusted partner and value-adding service
  • Seek out ways to enhance or compliment client resourcing strategies and improve time to hire metrics
  • Consistently and innovatively work with clients to identify, source and attract the best sources of talent
  • Identify and support on bids for new work in order to grow our service and client base

Required skills:

You need to have:

  • Experience in delivering professional recruitment services to clients, managing multiple
    stakeholders in a demanding recruitment environment
  • Previous experience in delivering and meeting clients’ high volume and/or specialist recruitment requirements
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills utilising management information data metrics
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Previous experience of working in a team-oriented environment to deliver results at pace
  • Proven track record of sourcing using job boards, social media, LinkedIn, and Boolean search methods

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience and knowledge of On-Line Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Recruitment or work experience within UK Government environment
  • IRP or CIPD qualified or similar
  • Understanding and awareness of Government Shared Services model
  • Experience in preparing and/or delivering bids for new work

Contract Type: FTC - 12 Months
