The successful candidate will be joining a well-established Information Systems department and will be reporting to the Projects Manager directly, with the opportunity to grow within the team and build on your already solid knowledge and background in systems and software testing and analysis
As Systems Test Analyst, you will be responsible and involved in testing a range of software products which are pivotal to the operations of our clients’ business. You will plan and execute tests, whilst implementing automation of test plans and scripts along with beta testing of new version releases.
A key area of experience for the Systems Test Analyst, is experience on eCommerce platforms, primarily Magento.
eCommerce forms a significant proportion of the job of this Systems Test Analyst, where our client uses the Maginus ERP system to plan and manage a range of pieces of software to run their eCommerce business, with Magento forming a major part of that software mix.
Ideally, the Systems Test Analyst will have a strong knowledge of software testing in a technical environment, using automated testing tools and API’s.
Communication is crucial to this role, where you will need to document and feedback test results, providing impact and risk analysis. As Systems Test Analyst
Along with the above test and analysis duties relating to eCommerce, Maginus and Magento, the Systems Test Analst will have some operational duties, including investigating into website and software issues escalated from the Service Desk. This will extend to providing 2nd Line issue support for the website and Maginus ERP.
This role is full time, with office hours of 9-5, Monday to Friday. The salary is £32,000 per annum, with a great benefits package on top.
Ideally you will have a foundation ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification, with a background and solid understanding of Acceptance Testing. In addition you will ideally have knowledge of online retail operations and PCI compliance, along with strong numeracy skills, the ability to recognise patterns, excellent time management and planning and an aptitude for process simplification and improvement.
