Applicants are invited to apply for the Systems Implementation and Integration based at the Port of Liverpool.

Role Purpose: To translate business needs into IT requirements, monitoring and auditing IT capex spend. To co-ordinate any implementation and integration within the container division.

This role will include the following responsibilities:

-Manage various teams of people and be able to build partner relationships with internal and external stakeholders

-Develop and maintain a Communications Plan to keep the business and IT communities appraised of project plans and related implications

-Awareness of key business objectives to ensure these are applied appropriately to all business activities

-Prepare and maintain project documentation, such as initiation and delivery plans, and manage assigned resources as appropriate

-Determine the IT agenda (budget, planning, staffing) in dialogue with senior management and ensure that business benefits can be realised, or that risks inhibiting realisation are highlighted

-Ensure deliverables meet required quality standards

-Identify business needs in liaison with middle and senior management and translate these into IT specifications

-Resolve cross-functional issues at project level and maintain a portfolio of projects according to the standards and expectations of the business

Applicants interested in this role should ideally possess the following skills and experience:

-Significant project management experience in a role that requires involvement and understanding of various

business activities

-Familiarity with methodologies and project tools such as PRINCE2, PMI, and Microsoft Project

-Extensive experience of infrastructure or organisation-wide application implementation.

-The initiative to ensure that technical skills and specialisations are kept up to date in line with industry developments and ensure that all relevant skill sets are current

-Awareness of industry and professional standards

-Relevant IT knowledge, preferably Navis N4
