The Systems Engineer will be involved in all technical activities necessary to ensure the systems design is compliant to customer requirements and applicable law and standards, managing sub-suppliers equipment design, its integration and the verification and validation of the solutions. The systems engineer will actively take part in the design enhancements needed to solve problems that arise during production, testing and commissioning.
The System Engineer will be mainly involved in the integration of power systems, but we are looking for a polyvalent role with general skills in system integration and electrical design.
For this purpose, the systems engineer will work together with the Headquarters and UK Design Team, as well as with Procurement, SQA, Manufacturing and Testing teams; dealing with sub-suppliers for managing and monitoring their design enhancements.
Undertake design activities related to the System and its integration into the vehicle.
Ensure Systems design are compliant to customer and standards requirements, participating in design review process (internal + external), design assurance statements, system testing. First article inspections, clause by clause responses to requirements.
Manage sub-suppliers. Confirm and agree technical specifications, requirements, interface documentation, functional descriptions, test procedures and manuals.
Support the Approval process of the Systems design with Certified Bodies.
Be fully familiar and conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance with them.
To manage the interface with the factory, and design enhancements needed to solve problems that arise during manufacturing ramp-up, testing and commissioning.
Project follow up and reporting for Systems activities.
Proactively working to contribute to a continuous improvement culture, raising opportunities for improvement whenever these are identified.
2.0 Record keeping
Ensure accurate records are completed and maintained in accordance with procedures in place, and work in progress is communicated to Line Managers and team members.

Company policies and procedures, quality management standards, health and safety.
