£280 per day

3 month contract

The successful candidate will perform a mixture of operational and support activities, you will form an integral part of the night shift team being the main technical point of contact providing support for the on-site engineering team.

Working rotating shifts covering 15:30pm – 08:00am based on business requirements. The role will consist mainly of night shifts, however, some day shifts will be required at the start of the project and during operational pauses

Start January 2018 on 09:00 – 17:00 (Mon-Thurs) and 09:00 – 16:45 (Fri) for four/six weeks to meet the team/learn the systems, the remaining time of the contract will be a night shift rota (Sun-Thurs) 15:30-08:00, we are looking for flexible individuals and possible extensions will be offered to the right candidates.

The successful candidate will be performing various roles in conjunction with Instore Systems Tech Refresh Project and will possess the following:

Required Experience & Skills
• Experience working in Systems & Infrastructure Projects – It Deployments
• Flexible with working hours/out of hours shifts (Sun to Thurs night)
• Ability to plan and conduct technical testing (with Documentation) on systems to be delivered
• Experience using, building and adapting technical processes
• Windows Server 2012 – OS configuration, Hyper V, IIS, Remote Desktop Services, Windows Networking (DNS/ DHCP)
• Windows 8.1/ 8.1 Embedded – OS configurations
• Microsoft System Centre - Configuration Manager
• Scripting and Automation Technologies – Powershell/ VB Script
• MS SQL Server 2012
• Networking – LAN, TCPIP, Wireless configuration
• PC hardware (Dell)/ Till (HP RP series) / Server Hardware (Dell) – direct support knowledge

Not required but advantageous
• Experience Installing and Configuring I.T. Equipment in Retail Environment – Tills/ EPOS
• Experience (preferred, not required) Configuring Cisco Switches (advantageous)
• Handheld Scanning terminals/ configuration
• Awareness of security expectations, standards and best practice
• IT experience working in a large corporate environment

• Ability to work efficiently and Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills
• Be able to work on your own initiative and prioritise (under instruction)
• Ability to work well with other team members both technical and non-technical to understand both the business requirements and functional impact
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written – English
• Excellent organisational and reporting skills
• Documentation production as required
• Ability and a willingness to learn new skills
• Clean driving license and access to own transport
