Systems Engineer – Citrix/Horizon View

About the Role:
We are currently hiring for a Systems Engineer with strong Citrix and Horizon View skills to based in our Basildon Office.
Working as part of a team you will be required to support end users across EMEA with Level 3 issues, dealing with tickets as it relates to VDI and Citrix. You will be contributing to projects including the specification, design, and implementation phases. Provide root-cause analyses, options for resolution, and recommendations to technology problems. Ensure adherence to established technology standards and consult with senior leadership on technology solutions. Assist in the packaging software for teams which are onboarding to VDI, using VMware App Volumes or ThinApp.
This team provides out of hours support to EMEA users and therefore you will be required to be part of the on-call rotation team.

Extensive 3rd Line Support experience with the following technologies is essential; VMWARE vsphere 5.5+, Horizon View 6.0+, ThinApp, Appstacks, LWL Profile Unity, Windows server 2008, 2012, Networking, Citrix Xenapp 7.0+
Expertise in multiple operating systems and/or middleware technologies.
Knowledgeable in available support tools and emerging technologies as well as all functional areas in an IT organization.
Strong understanding of how technology relates to business, market and industry and applies such knowledge to support the needs of the business.
Hands on experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of ESXI servers and related software.
Ability to configure and roll-out new hardware and software deployments to meet the customer’s timelines Strong communication skills and ability to provide remote, local and telephonic support across EMEA or Globally
Knowledgeable with network troubleshooting & networking services, protocols & technologies (DNS, DHCP, Network routing, etc.)
