Systems Development Technician - Electrical - Manufacturing

A new, exciting position has arisen for a Systems Development Technician to join an award-winning manufacturing company, specialising in manufacturing mobile working platforms for the Construction industry.

The role requires an enthusiastic team player to work in the Systems Engineering Department within Engineering, assisting with and planning the development of first-off electrical enclosures and wiring looms to assist with the prototyping of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms.

Main Responsibilities:

 Plan the manufacturing of prototype electrical assemblies.

 Assist in manufacturing prototype electrical enclosures and wiring looms from draft drawings.

 Assist in manufacturing electrical enclosures and wiring looms to validate signed-off drawings before series production.

 Assist with the fitment of electrical assemblies and looms to prototype machines.

 Assist with machine debugging and commissioning.

 Support the design team in realising their designs onto prototype machines.

The successful candidate will need to have "hands on" panel wiring experience.

Qualifications & Experience:

 Apprenticeship, HNC or HND in an Electrical discipline.

 Min 3 years industry experience in an electrical assembly role.

 Proven team worker.

 Proven team leader.


 Team Player.

 Good attention to detail.

 Ability to work with partial information and supervision.

 Flexible approach to working hours.


£11-13 per hour. (or equivalent salary)

40 hours per week 08.00-16.30

Overtime available and paid at 1.5 rate and 2.0 after 4 hours at 1.5 rate for hourly paid staff.

25 Days holiday, eligible for healthcare scheme and pension after 3 months.
