System Controls Engineer - Lasers - Sussex - O/IM298

Salary / benefits: negotiable c£30-50k depend upon experience

Job Term: Permanent / Full Time

Job Outline:

A designer and developer of Laser Systems is now looking for a System Controls Engineer to join their growing R&D team.

Working between their UK and US offices you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of Engineers, Scientists, Technicians responsible for the development, integration, test product introduction and support the control units.

Your key responsibilities will include the design and integration of camera-vision systems, laser scanning controls, laser markers, laser control devices and PLC controls.

You will provide technical support and programming for speciality machine design.

You will be the key point of contact for all stakeholders both internally and externally, including suppliers, customers, Health and Safety, engineering, design and development.

Working closely with customers you will ensure the final products meet their specified standards.


Ideally you will hold a Masters Degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering, or at least be qualified to a minimum of a Bachelors Degree.


We are looking for a strong background in the development of Robotics, PLC Programming, Laser Scanning, Camera Vision Systems and Driver interface development for Laser Marking.

Additional Information:

Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK. Copies of Passports and Visas will be requested for verification.
