Our client is a well known and expanding UK business that is looking to recruit a Systems Administrator to join their busy team. The IT Systems Administrator provides support for database/software/hardware and other peripheral devices. The role interacts regularly with internal teams and external suppiers so first class interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Assisting with technical development and system maintenance
Assisting with software updates and hardware implementations (e.g. improvements, upgrades, new products etc.)
Testing of updates and documenting the process
Liaising with software developers and 3rd party suppliers
Recommend process improvements and delivery of high quality and accurate IT systems.
Support and advice is provided in a professional and friendly manner so that issues are diagnosed and resolved as quickly as possible.
Full training on specific systems and processes will be given but the successful candidate must have a good technical grounding and:
Previous experience of systems/database administration
The judgement and confidence to make good decisions based on information gathered and analysed.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Sets and maintains high performance standards.
Displays energy and enthusiasm in approaching the job.
Takes personal responsibility for job performance.
Suggests and implements, where appropriate, the identified solutions. Adapts to changing work environments, work priorities and organisational needs.
