Based in Stornoway, within the Exchequer Services Systems Administration team of the Assets, Finance and Resources Department.
Duties include: supporting the testing and implementation of systems upgrades; supporting the year-end close down and roll-over processes; acting on error reports as directed by the Systems Administrator; carrying out monthly reconciliations; organising daily processing runs and calculations.
You should have an IT qualification at HNC level or equivalent. It is essential that you have an understanding of the business role of IT systems and an understanding of performance management and reporting. You must have the ability to understand financial information and have good written and oral communication skills.
This will be a temporary appointment for the duration of the maternity leave of a postholder.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.
