Systems Accountant - Long Term Temp

I am working with a successful business based South of Barrow in the heart of Kendal, who require a Systems Accountant for a period we expect to last between 6-9 months.

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your CV if you undertake this project, as you will have a very well respected business to add to your portfolio.
Given the task in hand it will be something for you to really sink your teeth into!

The key aspects of the role will initially be to review:

• Existing business booking systems across multiple locations and integration to accounts system.
• Current systems : 2 systems for bookings currently, which currently feed into the Accounting system,
• Proposed new system to replace one of the booking systems, and integration throughout.

Tasks include:-

• Reviewing the current cash controls and the sales data flows from each business.
• Taking account of the financial information needs of the current and future business to recommend the most appropriate software systems that allow for;
As seamless as possible sales, debtor and payments info flows into the accounts system, while minimising the accounts related work at the operations end of the business where possible, while improving the controls.

• Managing the implementation of the proposed new systems and procedures and supporting staff in the use of these new systems and procedures.
