We're working with an innovative start-up specialising in healthcare technology based in Oxford who are looking for a Systems Support Engineer to join their already growing team. This is an exciting time to join the organisation, and having left the commercial research phase they are now looking to implement the necessary processes to enable the business to scale and grow.
The company is building a unique deep learning-enabled big data platform and the developer we're looking to join the team you should be passionate about learning and building complex quality systems!
You will work within an experienced team, working with the latest architecture which follows the UNIX philosophy. You will gain the opportunity to work with systems architects, DevOps Engineers and Senior Software Engineers who can provide mentoring as appropriate.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to expand on their current technical knowledge in an ever changing and thriving healthcare sector. The company use the Atlassian stack and Jenkins so you'll have to be keen to pick up new skills! As the successful candidate you will need a wide range of technical experience and be confident picking up and delivering on new projects and technologies.
To be considered for this role candidates should be able to demonstrate the following experience:
* Linux (mostly CentOS 7)
* Chef (or similar)
Also, there are plus points for experience with AWS, Python, and C++.
You will join a company practicing DevOps, running your own code and will have access to production systems. The successful Systems Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting customers using open-source tools and troubleshoot problems remotely and during on-site visits.
