Working with cutting edge products, you will be able to concept and deliver your own designs and introduce your own ideas without limitations of benchmarks. This is a role that will push you to develop your engineering capability with a major influence on the product with direct input into the design of vehicle EE System Architecture.

Reporting to the System Architecture Principal Engineer, you'll shape the future of our electronic systems, such as Hybrid Powertrain systems, Transmission and Chassis controls, HMI/UX and Body systems like Cluster and Head-up displays, ADAS, vehicle connectivity systems.

With exposure to a variety of systems and platforms across programmes, you'll be responsible for strategy, design, and implementation of the whole-vehicle EE architecture, systems interactions, distributed functionality.

The work involves cutting-edge EE platform technologies, with a wide and complex scope touching optimisation, robust design, functional safety, feature decomposition, network communication, diagnostics, cybersecurity, offering a great opportunity of personal and technical development.

Skills and personal attributes:

  • Electrical, software or automotive engineering degree 2:1, or above
  • Deep passion for Automotive EE Architectures and Electronic Controls Systems
  • Good knowledge of automotive network protocols, e.g. CAN, LIN, and Ethernet
  • In depth knowledge of Vehicle Diagnostics (DTC, UDS, OBD, DoIP, etc.)
  • Previous experience with Architecture design software tools, e.g. PREEvision, CANoe, CANdela, DOORS
  • Good understanding of vehicle level system integration in terms of hardware and software
  • Naturally technical, able to employ fundamental engineering principles
  • High self motivation, willingness to learn and develop
  • Previous experience in supporting a product development from the concept to the production
  • Ability to work as a team member and also confidently alone
