We are hiring for several companies currently who are seeking synthesis chemists, many of these adverts are live on our website already and we are also in discussions with further companies planning hires in Q3 of 2017.
This advert is a 'catch all’ to ask candidates who are looking for an opportunity or thinking of a move later this year, to send their CV into us, this is in addition to the specific adverts that we have placed in this field.
Should we not be outwardly hiring for the job for you right now - apply here telling us what you want and we will be able to keep you posted on what comes up via our weekly emails once you're registered on the LiCa Scientific website (sent each Wednesday, customisable to the fields you are interested in).
What our clients do:
LiCa Scientific is the recruitment partner for several pharmaceutical and fine chemical companies, who work in development of drugs and fine/intermediate chemicals.
They operate from small 'discovery’ scale of milligrams up to kilo scale and beyond into production. These projects call for synthesis routes to be identified and issues with scale up to be solved via changes to reaction mechanisms as scales are increased from multi gram to kilo and onto production.
Typically, this is very high value chemistry being produced to an agreed deadline with a client or internal colleague. Many of our clients are contract manufacturers and we mainly work with small to mid-sized businesses throughout the UK.
Backgrounds we are seeking:
We are seeking individuals qualified ideally at Masters or PhD level in chemistry. Our clients offer opportunities which in some cases call for no experience so while industrial experience may be advantageous this is not essential.
You will be familiar with a variety of reaction methodologies such as glove boxes, schlenck lines, various glassware’s and scale up apparatus. A strong knowledge of HPLC, GC, NMR and other analytical chemistry apparatus pertinent to your field is also essential. Experience of carrying out this work to GMP is ideal.
Do contact us with your CV and cover note to arrange a discussion about opportunities that are current / upcoming at LiCa Scientifics’ clients on both a permanent and temporary basis. We also advise if you're interested in the above in general, to log in and add your details to the LiCa Scientific website. You can use either your LinkedIn login or CV to do this.
On this occasion, LiCa Scientific Ltd is acting as an employment agency.
