Surveyor Support Officer

Business Area: First Mortgage Servicing

Location: Homer Road, Solihull

Brief description

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our First Mortgage Servicing department in this broad and varied role, on a permanent contract. It would suit someone with great organisational ability, who is efficient and proactive, has a good eye for detail and can demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Purpose of the role

To support the valuation instruction process and provide direct support to the Regional Surveyors. You will also assist other business areas with valuation queries.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Ensure all valuations are processed within agreed SLAs
  • Deal with requests or enquires arising throughout the valuation process
  • Book valuation appointments for the regional and duty surveyors
  • Monitor all regional surveyor databases to ensure requests / queries are actioned within SLAs
  • Assist surveyors to ensure all regulatory requirements are adhered to and ensure corporate subscriptions are kept up-to-date
  • Assist other business areas to ensure audit requirements are complied with and the appropriate industry recognition achieved

Qualifications and experience

Grade C or above GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics. An understanding of the property valuations process and the role of surveyors would be beneficial.

Working hours

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (one hour for lunch). A flexible approach to working hours is required. You will be working one of the two shift patterns below. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.

Monday and Tuesday, 8.00am to 4.30pm, Wednesday and Thursday, 10.30am to 7.00pm and Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm.

Relevant training will be provided.
