Grade:  4D
Hourly Rate:  £9.17 - £9.83
Salary:  £17,702.33 - £18,975.66 per annum FTE
Contract Duration:  Various contracts available

Interviews will take place week beginning 21st January 2019

Role Purpose

The support worker plays a vital role in supporting service users to meet their needs as identified in their personal support plan through an outcome focused approach and based on the principles of independence, choice, rights, dignity and privacy. This may involve either working in a building based service or in the community.

Permanent posts,  various hours available within locations in the Scottish Borders.  Posts available for Day Services, Extra Care Housing, Home Care and Residential Care Homes.


Understanding the needs of adults at risk.
Basic writing skills including the ability to record activities and write a short report.
Good appropriate verbal communication skills.
Understanding the need for confidentiality.
Ability to work as a member of a team.

SVQ Level 2 in Social Care or to obtain in one year.
