Do you want to be part of an established team supporting adults with disabilities to live independently within a residential home?

Would you like to work in the idyllic settings of Quarriers Village and be part of an organisation that not only offer excellent careers but make a real difference to thousands of people’s lives?

We have new opportunities available for Support Workers to join our staffing teams within Quarriers Upper Village Services (Davidson House and Kelly House) which provide individualised care and support to adults with a range of complex needs. Your role will include personal intimate care, you will support people to dress, with meals and your role will involve cooking and cleaning. You will also be responsible for administering medication, working with gastrostomy support and responsible for care plans.

Ideal candidates will have a caring nature and the ability to interact well with people from all walks of life. You will be committed, flexible and a good listener and be able to offer practical support and advice. Previous experience is not necessary, although it would help. Instead your ability to help others help themselves will shine through.

Due to the location of our posts access to your own vehicle is essential.

We have various hours available from relief (evening and weekends) to part time and full time contracts of between 24-39 hours.

Successful candidates will be required to register with the SSSC. Where you are employed in a service where registration is compulsory, you must ensure that you register in the appropriate category within 6 months of starting in post. After registration, there is a requirement to be qualified within 3 years.

All our sleepover shifts will be paid at the Scottish Living Wage of £8.75 per hour

Quarriers is a long-established, major voluntary agency providing a range of services for children, families and people with a disability.

Quarriers is committed to supporting adults with disabilities to achieve a quality life by providing support which enables them to make informed choices about their lives, encouraging participation and integration within the local community and utilising resources.  Each person has an individual support package, which allows him/her to be respected as a valued member of society.

These services can support up to 27 people over three separate sites, Kelly House, Davidson House and Parklands. Each individual project has its own team and Team Leader, and the three sites are managed by one Project Manager.
