Job Summary and Duties

We need dedicated Support Workers to work with adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. You do not need experience, as we will fully train you to ensure you have all the skills needed to provide the very highest standard of support.Courses include medication administration, understanding autism, first aid and safeguarding. Training includes face-to-face sessions and e Learning courses. As part of the induction, process new Staff shadow experienced workers to gain greater insight in how to support each individual.

A comprehensive assessment and support process ensures Staff have all the information and guidance to support each individual.

We are recruiting Support Workers to work at a supported living complex in Loughborough, comprising of 10 flats with communal areas. The level of support varies between individuals, providing a varied shift pattern, in which no two days are the same. Shifts may start anytime from 7am, and will finish by 10pm. We are looking to recruit for both full and part time positions. To be a driver with access to your own car is essential.

Skills and Experience

Being a driver is essential for this post.
In this role you will need to be able to work flexibly across a 7 - day rota to include early mornings, evenings, bank holidays, weekends. In addition, waking nights and sleep-ins. We also require you to be able to work split shifts.
All our Support Workers complete shadow shifts before working with the people we support and those that have not previously worked in care will be supported with completing the Care Certificate.
