New year, new career. Are you looking to make a difference?

Come join our client’s team and you can support autistic adults to lead happy, healthy and fulfilling lives.

Is your New Year's resolution to find yourself a rewarding new career?

Are you caring, passionate and creative? Do you want to make a difference? If the answer is yes, then our client has a great opportunity for you!

Our Client’s Services:

West of Scotland Area Services – these services provide 24/7 housing support and care and home to autistic adults living within their own tenancies across the Glasgow area, a number of day opportunities within Glasgow and South Lanarkshire and outreach services based from the autistic adult’s home across the Greater Glasgow area.

Our client’s values are:

- Collaboration – they work with others and value their opinions
- Compassion – they work with each other and their service users with care and kindness
- Change makers – they never stand still, they move positively forward, always focussed on quality and being the best
- Contribution – they love what they do, they never lose sight of their purpose and the difference they make in society

It is not necessary to have experience of working within social care as our client is seeking to appoint Support Workers who share their values and are willing to learn and develop into the role. Our client will support you to do this by offering an extensive autism specific training programme.

Our client encourages and welcomes applications from people with lived experience of autism.

“The people make the service for me, they are great workers” An autistic adult who uses our client’s services

On a day-to-day basis, Support Workers enable autistic people to complete all activities of daily living, which includes personal care and household chores. You can also expect to be out and about supporting autistic people to access their communities and to take part in activities of their choosing, which is great fun for all.

“Staff are compassionate and provide dignity and respect, my son gets on very well with staff” A parent of one of our client’s service users

The organisation is currently undergoing a period of digital transformation which will result in all documentation and processes being managed online and electronically from April 2020. Training on the new system will be provided to all staff.

Our client offers you:

- 32 days’ holiday for full-time hours (which increases with your length of service)
- Sector leading training from day one, including fully funded support to complete your necessary SVQ
- Non-contributory life assurance scheme
- Workplace pension
