Situated in Portsmouth Nessus Street is a learning disability home, which can support up to twelve people. Our home prides itself on person centred care and meeting the goals and aspirations of the people we support. We encourage good communication, high quality care, building skills and qualifications in order to ensure the support we give is the right support and excellent team work. The people we support are at the centre of what we do and we strive to build their independence and confidence in order to promote a full and active lifestyle. As a support worker your main responsibility is to help the people we support meet their individual needs, abilities and wishes. Daily tasks include support with personal care, help maintaining a clean home, engaging in the community and hobbies, support with dietary needs, health requirements and whatever else the person we support may require.
Previous experience is not essential as we provide a comprehensive induction and training programme. It is important however that you share our company values which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support.
