support worker

I am looking for the right person to work  evenings with a young adult who has an acquired brain injury. The young person has requested that her support worker be female. The shift times are Monday to Friday 17.00 to 21.00 and  Saturday and Sunday 16.00 to 21.00. You would be part of a small dedicated team. We are looking for someone who can commit to at least a couple of evening a week.
The support takes place in the family home and out in the community. We provide support for her and the extended family. You may be supporting with personal care or accompanying her to various activities, she likes going to gyms and wall climbing, The young lady is very keen that her staff are committed and passionate. She lives with her family and needs full support with personal care but she is a very independent young lady and likes to do as much for her self as possible, 

The right person would need to have the following skills
- Patience,
- Personal care experience
- Moving and handling experience
- Experience with brain injuries / physical disabilities would be desirable.
-Experience with dealing with communication difficulties.

The pay is £9.00 per hour and the rewards are that you provide a service that greatly impacts on a family life.

*The role is subject to D.B.S. check if you do not have the update service there is a £44 charge but this can be claimed back, candidate will need to be able to provide 5 years of referencing two of which will need to be care related, you would need to undertake a competency based face to face interview .and attended 1 days of induction training.
