Your new role
You will be based at Ashley House Hospital on the outskirts of Newcastle-under-Lyme (Baldwins Gate.) Using the training and support from your expert team, you will be responsible for the delivery of exceptional levels of day to day support and rehabilitation of adults with mental health and learning disabilities. You will be an integral part of the hospitals support team and working together with your colleagues, you will ensure the health, safety, welfare and security of patients, colleagues and members of the public are maintained at all times.
What you'll need to succeed
These Support Worker vacancies can be challenging and as such you will need to possess the naturally caring and supportive nature and mind-set to help you succeed within this setting. An understanding of Mental Health support and rehabilitation in children’s services is advantageous, however your commitment to furthering your training, professional career development and dedication to supporting those with mental health needs is an essential aspect of this role. It is absolutely essential that you are flexible with shift work, including days, nights and weekends. Due to the location and shift patterns you will also need to possess a driving licence and your own vehicle to be able to work at this site.
What you'll get in return
You will work a 46 hour week and receive a competitive salary of £8.47 per hour. (All hours worked in your week over 37.5 will be paid at £10.59 per hour – Overtime is also paid at £10.59 per hour) In total you can expect an annual salary of around £21,100 per annum.
