Roles and Responsibilties of a Support Worker

The role of Support Worker is an agency role for week day and alternate weekend work. This role is to support adults in the community with an array of support needs, it’s all about empowerment and person centred support, to ensure people have the right support in order for to life a valued life in society, treating them with respect at all times and valuing each person as an individual.

To assist people to take measured risks, to make their own decisions, and to think and act for themselves, where capacity allows. The Support Worker role is to enable people to realise their own aims and help them to achieve their goals in all aspects of daily living. It would be beneficial if you had access to your own vehicle but this is not a mandatory requirement.
